HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga is an empowering form of yoga that integrates Asanas (body postures), pranayamas (breathing techniques) and meditation in an effort to unite and create balance, harmony and flow between body, mind and spirit. This gentle form of yoga involves classic poses that flow from one to the other at a comfortable pace. The practice of Hatha Yoga can help you recognize your hidden physical and mental potentials.Through the continued performance of Asanas, you will gain flexibility and strength, and learn to be more relaxed, centered and conscious. Hatha Yoga's Exercises open energy channels, which in turn allows spiritual energy to flow freely.
The physical benefits of Hatha Yoga are numerous and include toned and strengthened muscles, flexibility in spine and joints, increased flow of blood and oxygen, and improved balance and posture. Hatha Yoga can also help you cope with stress, relieve tension, and deal with anxiety. More importantly, it will help you put your mind in a focused state to prepare for meditation and the search for enlightenment. It’s a dynamic means of exercising, stretching, and freeing the body so it can be a healthy, strong, and vibrant instrument of the mind and soul. TEACHER BIO
Yoga teacher Parul has been teaching classical Hatha Yoga for 25 years. Growing up in India with her father as her Guru, yoga has been an integral part of Paruls life since her early childhood. Parul believes that the purpose of practicing yoga poses is to reach the heart of yoga, which is a state of being where we feel happy, healthy, wealthy and wise.
Hatha Yoga classes with Parul will be available every Tuesday, from 6-7pm. Please call or email to reserve your spot.
